AUSTRALIA — The other day I was driving and there was a spider on my windshield and it was very distracting because 1) spiders are scary and 2) I couldn't tell if the spider was inside my car or outside it.

Fortunately, the spider turned out to be on the outside of my car, and because I'm great in a crisis, I mostly did not freak out. Another fortunate thing is the fact that I was not driving in Australia where spiders are like 100 times larger and where you also have to worry about snakes popping up on your car while you drive.

If you don't believe me, watch this video.

The video was recorded earlier this month in a place called Hermit Park in Queensland, Australia, and it features a little snake that somehow managed to crawl up on a woman's car while she was driving.

There's not a whole lot to the video, besides the snake which moves around the car staring at the woman (and believe it or not, the slithery little guy is kind of cute). But the woman's incredulous commentary at having this snake climb onto her car is so relatable and hilarious.

Yesterday's Have You Seen This?

In the video's description, she wrote that she was driving when she saw the snake heading straight for her face.

"I kinda pulled over and panicked," she said. "Then the snake turned and looked me straight in the eyes and poked its tongue out at me and I started a little more panic (sic) 'cause I was running late and I didn't know how I was going to get out of the car."

Fortunately, she said she was able to get a colleague to come to her rescue, and even though the colleague laughed a bit, he picked up the snake and took it across the street to a golf course.

I'm glad this story has a happy ending, just like my story did the day a spider crawled onto my windshield. Enjoy the video and the woman's delightful commentary, and then start putting together a game plan for how you'll handle the situation if a snake ever crawls onto your car while you're driving.
