OGDEN — The Ogden 2nd District Courthouse was cleared Thursday evening after receiving another bomb threat on Thursday afternoon.

Utah State Courts spokesman Geoffrey Fattah reported on Twitter that the courthouse, at 2525 Grant Ave., had received a threat just after 3:30 p.m. Thursday. The courthouse was evacuated, Fattah said.

About 4:25 p.m., authorities had completed sweeping the building, Fattah said. Ogden police decided not to evacuate the justice court at the building, according to Capt. Danielle Croyle.

Just after 5 p.m., Fattah said police determined the building was all clear. The courthouse would remain closed for the rest of the day Thursday, Fattah said.

This is the third threat reported at the courthouse this month.

One threat was reported on April 5 but was found to be unsubstantiated. Another threat was reported on April 12 and was also found to be unsubstantiated.
