ELSINORE, Sevier County — Three people were arrested Tuesday after officials say they assaulted and robbed a person in a home.

Ryan Carpenter, 22, and Shawn Booth, 21, both of Richfield, were booked into the Sevier County Jail for investigation of aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a stolen firearm and several other charges, Sevier County Sheriff’s Office officials said on Facebook.

A 17-year-old female, also of Richfield, was arrested and booked into a juvenile detention center for investigation of similar charges, officials said.

The three went to the Elsinore home on the pretense of making a visit, but then used handguns and robbed the resident, officials said. Before fleeing the scene, they also used the handguns to assault the resident, who lost consciousness, sheriff’s officials said.

Police later found a car belonging to one of the people involved outside a Richfield residence. Police found Carpenter, Booth and the juvenile in the residence. Meth and heroin were also found in the home, according to officials.

Carpenter also was booked for investigation of narcotics distribution in an unrelated case.

Richfield City police officers assisted with the arrests.
