20 events to celebrate Easter around Utah

SALT LAKE CITY — Easter is this weekend and that means it’s time to eat lots of candy (among other things).

Communities around Utah are hosting Easter events for kids, teens and adults this weekend. Celebrate the holiday with one of these 20 events. Don’t miss your chance to see the Easter Bunny!

Box Elder County

The Kiwanis Club of Brigham City is sponsoring its annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. The hunt will take place at Reese Pioneer Park, 800 W. Forrest in Brigham City. Separate Easter egg hunts will take place for kids ages 0-3, ages 4-6, ages 7-9 and ages 10-12. The Easter Bunny also will make an appearance.

Cache County

Logan City will host a “Downtown Easter Celebration” on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Businesses in the downtown Logan area will be opening their doors and offering Easter candy for kids.

Carbon County

Helper City will host an Easter egg Hunt on Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Helper City Park, 73 S. Main St.

Davis County

There will be several Easter egg hunts on Saturday throughout Davis County. In North Salt Lake, the fun starts at 9 a.m. at Hatch Park, 50 W. Center St. In Centerville, the festivities begin at 9:30 a.m. at William R. Smith (Founders) Park, 300 N. 100 East. The Kaysville Easter Egg Hunt is at 9 a.m. at Barnes Park, 950 W. 200 North, by the baseball diamonds. And in West Bountiful, the Easter Egg Scramble starts at 9 a.m. at City Park.

The Bountiful Bunny Hop is April 15 from 10-11:30 a.m. and will feature an Easter egg hunt, as well as chalk art, face painting, a fishing pond and other games.

Layton will host its annual Easter Egg Dive on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Layton Commons Park, 465 N. Wasatch Drive. Admission is $5 for each participant.

Duchesne County

The Easter Bunny will make an appearance at the Roosevelt Aquatic Center for the second annual Easter Egg Dive, Saturday at 12:30 p.m. Divers are asked to arrive at the aquatic center by 12:15 p.m. Admission for the dive is $3.65, and it is open for kids 17 and under to participate. Call the aquatic center at 435-722-4851 for more information.

Salt Lake County

The Cottonwood Heights Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday at 10 a.m. at Butler Park, 7500 S. 2700 East. Separate hunts will be held for different age groups, and the Easter Bunny will be there. A Teen Night also will be held Friday at the Cottonwood Heights Rec Center at the park.

Riverton City will host a children’s Easter egg hunt Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Riverton City Park, 1452 W. 12600 South. The event is open to kids 12 and under. A flashlight egg hunt also will be held for teens at 9 p.m. Friday at the Riverton City Rodeo Arena, 1300 W. 12800 South.

The Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum, 444 W. 100 South in Salt Lake City, will host a Bunny Hop on Saturday from 8-10 a.m. The event will feature an Easter egg hunt, as well as face painting and balloon art.

The South Jordan Spring Spectacular will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at South Jordan City Park, 10866 S. Redwood Road. The event will include an Easter egg hunt, face painting, magic shows and a pool plunge.

West Jordan will host an Easter egg hunt on Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Utah Youth Soccer Complex, 7965 S. 4000 West. The event is open to kids ages 2-15.

West Valley City will host several Easter events starting with teen and adult flashlight egg hunts Friday at 9 p.m. at the Centennial Park West Softball Complex. Events for kids start Saturday at 8:30 a.m. and continue through 12:15 p.m. at the Family Fitness Center, 5415 W. 3100 South.

Utah County

The Easter Eggstreme takes place Saturday at Thanksgiving Point from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event includes egg hunts and other activities.

Orem will host an Easter egg hunt on Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Mountain View High School football field.

Spanish Fork’s Easter egg hunt will be Saturday at 9 a.m. sharp at Sports Park on Volunteer Drive. The event is open for kids up to age 10.

Washington County

The Kiwanis Club in St. George will host an Easter egg hunt on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Vernon Worthen Park, 300 S. 400 East. Admission is free.

Weber County

Ogden will host an Easter egg hunt on Saturday at the Marshall White Center, 222 28th Street, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Roy will host an Easter egg hunt on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at Sand Ridge Park, 2075 W. 4600 South.

Weber State University’s Seventh Annual Egg Dive will be Friday from 5-7:30 p.m. It’s open to kids ages 1 to 17, as well as Weber State students.
