LEHI — The intersection near the Outlets at Traverse Mountain in Lehi has since reopened after a gas leak closed the road and forced evacuations Tuesday morning.

The intersection of Cabela's Boulevard and Triumph Boulevard closed about 10:30 a.m. and reopened about 1 p.m., according to a tweet by Lehi City. Access to the outlets was blocked during the closure.

The outlets were evacuated for a few hours until crews shut off the gas line, according to Lehi Fire Department Battalion Chief Kim Beck.

A contract crew working on the road's drain system during construction hit a main line, causing the leak, Beck said.
