SALT LAKE CITY — It’s the beginning of another week.

For some people, that may mean facing another long, stressful workweek. For others, it may mean enduring more cold weather as we inch closer to spring.

If you are having a hard time facing Monday, we’ve got a boost for you.

The KSL.com “Make Your Week” column features uplifting stories sent in from people outside the newsroom. To send in the stories that have made your day better, email them in 100 words or less to fjolley@ksl.com. Photos and videos are encouraged.

Giving to others

Kacey T.

“Thank you to the sweet older gentleman who handed this $2 bill to my 9-year-old son this morning while we were shopping in Smith’s. What a sweet kind gesture that made my son’s Valentine's Day very special.”

Cooperating with another

Debbie R.

“It sounds silly, but I was told I could not buy ‘just’ legs and thighs of chicken — I had to buy the wings, as well. The next man in line told the deli person to give me two of his chicken legs and give him my two chicken wings. It was the kindness that struck me — I try to be mindful of others, and it was nice to have someone looking out for me, too!”
