AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) — Lavelle Scottie had 18 points, Sid Tomes and Trevor Lyons added 14 each, and Air Force beat Utah State 75-65 on Saturday.
Air Force pulled away in the final 3½ minutes with a 7-0 run that made it 69-61 and then hit all four of its free throws plus Scottie's layup to end a three-game skid.
The Falcons (11-16, 5-10 Mountain West) trailed by as many as 15 in the first half and went into the break with a 45-32 deficit.
Air Force started the second half with a 14-2 run to get within one and overtook the Aggies (14-15, 7-9) at 55-53 shortly after the midway point of the second half.
Koby McEwen had 13 points and Dwayne Brown Jr. scored 12 for Utah State. The Aggies outrebounded Air Force 41-29 but committed 17 turnovers, 11 in the second half.
