THE MARKET — One cool thing about becoming a billionaire is apparently you never have to go grocery shopping again.

That's what I learned from watching this video in which world-famous billionaire Bill Gates cannot name the cost of very basic grocery items.

The video comes from an episode of The Ellen Show, and after being posted to YouTube yesterday, it quickly became the No. 1 trending video on the site. And with good reason. We all think of Bill Gates as a pretty smart guy, right? Well, take this one, small opportunity to realize you know a little more than him in at least one area.

In the video, Ellen DeGeneres asks Bill Gates to name the prices of everyday items found at the supermarket, like pizza rolls, floss and Tide Pods. Now, I'm no grocery shopping expert, but I feel like if you've been in a supermarket in the last few months, you know Tide Pods do not come cheap.

Bill Gates, however, has not been anywhere near a supermarket in the last few months.

"When was the last time you have been at a supermarket?" Ellen asks as the video starts.

"Long time ago," Bill Gates responds somewhat sheepishly with a smile and laugh.

Tuesday's Have You Seen This?:

So of course, Ellen ups the stakes. If Bill Gates gets three correct guesses, the audience wins a prize.

Unfortunately, Bill Gates thinks a regular size container of Tide Pods only costs $4. So we're off to a bad start.

As the video goes on, the audience gets more and more frustrated as Bill Gates gets the price of every single item wrong, except (spoiler alert) floss. I suppose that makes sense because as a billionaire, you could easily hire a personal chef to do all your cooking and never have to go grocery shopping again, but you definitely cannot (or at least should not) hire someone to do your personal flossing.

Fortunately, Ellen lets the audience help out a little and it all works out in the end. Enjoy the video; it's funny, and you're welcome for whatever fleeting sense of superiority it may bring you.
