PROVO — Tanner Ainge is planning to make another run for public office after his failed bid for Congress, this time for the Utah County Commission.

Ainge, a business consultant and son of Boston Celtics President Danny Ainge, finished last in a three-way GOP primary to replace former Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, last year.

Ainge says he discovered during his first campaign that he has a genuine desire to serve his community. The Daily Herald in Provo reports that he will vie for the seat currently held by Greg Graves, who has said he won't run again in the November elections.

Graves is facing calls for his resignation after he was accused of sexual misconduct. An investigation couldn't confirm the sexual assault claim but found that Graves was demeaning and intimidating toward the woman who lodged the complaint and other employees.
