THE McCALLISTER'S — A few nights ago I sat down with my wife and kids and we watched the holiday classic "Home Alone."
As I was watching the opening credits and saw that legendary composer John Williams scored the film I was caught off guard because for some reason I did not know that all these years. This bit of knowledge forced me to listen to the soundtrack a little bit closer and I forgot how brilliant it really is.
The music is stirring and exudes Christmas. Now, think of that same riveting score and take out all the instruments and replace them with one man and his incredible voice.

I'd be lying if I said I had never imagined what Space Mountain would look like with the lights on. Well, now I know.Mike Tompkins took it upon himself to make this video of him creating an entire orchestra with just his vocals to bring the "Home Alone" soundtrack to life. I absolutely love this video and love hearing the music in this way. I am literally left scratching my head trying to contemplate and process the amount of time, attention and patience it took to make this video and lay these vocal tracks.
Congratulations to Mr. Tompkins on this phenomenal video and I'd like to say happy holidays to all and offer a sincere thank you to all of the readers who make the job worth it. Even the mean comments mean people are reading and taking an interest. Look forward to more articles, more comments and more fantastic videos.
