SALT LAKE CITY — Everyone's got "The Last Jedi" fever, even the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Over the weekend, the choir took a moment after their "Music and the Spoken Word" performance to sing "Happy Birthday" to "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" director Rian Johnson.

Johnson's 44th birthday Sunday just so happened to coincide with when Ted Griffin, "Ocean's Eleven" screenwriter and one of Johnson's friends, was in town to watch his wife, Broadway star Sutton Foster, perform with the choir for their annual series of Christmas concerts.

The concerts also just so happened to be the same weekend that "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" was released and everyone on Earth was feeling really hyped about "Star Wars" in general.

So apparently the choir was happy to perform this little favor for Foster and Griffin, which is how we have this video, where Johnson becomes one of the few lucky people who can say the entire choir wished him "Happy Birthday."

Though Johnson wasn't actually in attendance for the performance, Griffin FaceTimed him so he could watch the birthday wishes live, according to the Deseret News. Johnson seemed to appreciate the song and tweeted out, "This is the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I have no idea how he pulled this off, but I highly recommend everyone have a friend in their life like Ted Griffin."
