SALT LAKE CITY — A woman accused of stabbing a neighbor in the neck Wednesday morning was arrested Saturday, officials confirmed.
Dyann Hernandez, 23, was taken into custody by Utah Highway Patrol troopers and agents with the Utah State Bureau of Investigation in West Valley City, according to UHP trooper Jared Cornia.
The State Bureau of Investigation was able to determine Hernandez’s location and, with the help of UHP, arrested her at a gas station near 3600 West and 4700 South at around 9:30 a.m., Cornia said.
Officials then turned Hernandez over to Salt Lake City police who had a warrant out for her arrest.
Hernandez was wanted in connecting with a stabbing incident that took place at 820 W. Arapahoe Ave. early Wednesday morning. Witnesses at the scene Wednesday told police that Hernandez and the stabbing victim were neighbors and had “an ongoing neighbor dispute.” Hernandez had fled the scene in an SUV after the apparent altercation.
