OREM, Utah (AP) — Kenneth Ogbe scored 21 points and grabbed five rebounds to lead four players in double figures as Utah Valley beat UC Davis 80-71 on Saturday afternoon.
Akolda Manyang and Conner Toolson added 16 points apiece for the Wolverines (2-2) and Jake Toolson had 13 points, five rebounds and five assists. Manyang led the team with eight rebounds.
Utah Valley averaged 49 percent shooting from the field, 50 percent from beyond the arc and 87.5 percent from the free-throw line.
The Wolverines trailed 37-33 at the break but turned the tide early in the second half with the help of perfect free-throw shooting by Manyang and Ogbie. A pair of 3-pointers by Conner Toolson pushed their advantage to 70-58 with 6:17 to play and dunks by Manyang and Brandon Randolph in the final two minutes sealed the win.
Chima Moneke led the Aggies (2-1) with 18 points and 12 rebounds. TJ Shorts II added 17 points and five assists.
