MILLCREEK — A man who had been wanted for 13 months was arrested early Friday morning hiding inside a doghouse behind a residence, police said.

A U.S. Marshals Service Violent Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team arrested Michael Noble, 35, on multiple warrants.

Supervisor Derryl Spencer said the search for Noble started about two months ago and the U.S. Marshals Office learned he was going to be in the Millcreek area Thursday night.

About 30 officers were dispatched to canvas neighborhoods Thursday, Spencer said.

At about 1:30 a.m., an officer spotted a vehicle outside a home that Noble was in and watched him go inside a home near 1100 East and 3400 South. A tactical plan was put together and the house surrounded.

Spencer said about 13 people were removed from the home in the effort to arrest Noble, but the man ran out the back door of the home and hid inside a doghouse in the home’s backyard.

Officers working on perimeter containment of the house located him there.

“They tried to call him out of the doghouse; he wouldn’t come out,” Spencer said. “They ended up having to pull him out and he came out swinging, so it was a pretty good fight in the backyard.”

Some of the individuals pulled out of the house were also arrested for having warrants, Spencer added.

Spencer said Noble has an “extensive” criminal history and is a known gang member.
