SALT LAKE CITY — Former University of Utah offensive lineman Sam Tevi was selected No. 190 overall Saturday in the sixth round of the NFL Draft.

Tevi, a Euless, Texas native, was drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers. He's the seventh player and fourth offensive lineman from the University of Utah to be drafted in 2017. With Tevi being drafted, Utah sets a record for the most players drafted in a single year in school history.

Tevi was a two-year starting offensive tackle after switching over from the defensive side of the ball. Tevi played four years at Utah, joining the program in 2013.

He was one of eight players from the University of Utah invited to the NFL Combine where he was tested in six different position drills.
