MILLCREEK — Authorities are seeking the public's help discovering who is responsible for shooting a cat multiple times.
A homeowner near 1300 East and 3500 South found the 4-year-old orange tabby cat in their yard Sunday. The male cat was shot in the neck and in the nose, but survived, the Salt Lake County Animal Services reported.
The agency determined the cat, later nicknamed "Robin Hood," was likely shot several days before being discovered. It was otherwise healthy besides its wounds. Authorities are still looking for the cat's owner.
The cat appears to have been shot by a Crosman Pistol Bolt pellet gun, according to investigators.
Anyone with information about who may have shot the cat is asked to call Salt Lake County Animal Services at 801-743-7045.
