UTAH SLOPES — George Jedenoff is 99.5 years old. He's a father, grandfather, great-grandfather and avid skier. His best — and worst, according to him — trait is that he never gives up. This video tells his story.

Jedenoff first started skiing in the Wasatch Mountains between Alta and Snowbird in 1960 — 57 years ago — when he was 43. In a feat that shows off his determined spirit, he's returned every year since then to ski through some of the best powder in the country.

Ski Utah put together this video with Jedenoff where he shares some of the life lessons he's learned after five decades on the slopes.

"I would have to say I'm one of the luckiest people that ever lived," Jedenoff says in the video. "I've had many challenges, many problems, but challenges are just opportunities."
