OGDEN — A man was jailed after a threatening another man with a knife before leading officers on a low-speed chase in the snow early Saturday morning, police said.

Ogden police said Zachery Kendall, 34, was arrested and booked into Weber County Jail on suspicion of aggravated assault, evading and resisting arrest. He also had several outstanding warrants, police added.

Officers responded to a report of a weapons disturbance at a home near the 2300 block of Polk Ave at about 5:36 a.m., according to Ogden police.

Police said Kendall threatened another man with a knife before escaping in a silver Scion as officers arrived at the scene. Kendall then led officers on a slow-speed chase through snowy conditions, with speeds only reaching about 35 mph.

The pursuit ended in the area of 25th Street and Tyler Ave. when officers used spike strips. Officers then needed to break the driver’s side window in order to apprehend Kendall, police added.

A Taser was deployed in the struggle before Kendall was taken into custody. No injuries were reported.

Police added Kendall is a person of interest in a shooting that occurred Wednesday near 100 block of West Ray Street.
