Police ask for help identifying men in connection to 2 SLC armed robberies

SALT LAKE CITY — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two men in relation to a pair of armed robberies last week.

The first robbery happened at the Chegoya Market located at 202 S. 900 East at 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 13. The second occurred a few hours later at a 7-Eleven on 1609 S. 1100 East at about 2:13 a.m. on Jan. 14., according to Salt Lake police.

A firearm was used in both cases, police said.

The men are both described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, big frames, Polynesian and in their late 20’s. One of the men was wearing a black sweatshirt and tan boots. The other man was wearing a blue sweatshirt and white shoes.

Both men are considered armed and dangerous, police said.
