NORTHAMPTON HOUSE — Throughout this time of year, I listen to Christmas music almost 24/7. I count down the days until it starts playing on the radio, marking in my mind the official start of the Christmas season.

I think everyone who loves Christmas music as much as I do can agree that it's the best way to feel the Christmas spirit; which is exactly what this video is full of: Christmas spirit.

Eleven-year-old Reese Oliveira, who sings in Utah's One Voice Children’s Choir, has been making music videos with her mom, Suzy, for more than a year. According to her mom, she has been singing since before she could talk. For this year's Christmas video, they filmed a beautiful rendition of "What Child is This?" accompanied by award-winning music arranger and producer Masa Fukuda.

Yesterday's Have You Seen This?

Reese and her mom try to add extra meaning to each video they create. In "What Child is This?" a ballerina performs an elegant dance while Reese sings, representing an angel dancing for Christ's birth.

The dance is performed by Brynnley Seipert, who has been dancing for nine years and recently portrayed "Clara" in the "The Nutcracker" for the Barlow Arts Conservatory.

Making videos together has become a special project for both mother and daughter, as Reese brings the vocal talent and her mom brings the visual artistry.

"It has been a fun journey making these videos with my mom," Reese said. "I love the process of picking a song and then coming up with ideas for the video."

As Reese, Brynnley and Fukuda perform in this video, the Northampton House in American Fork provides the perfect backdrop with gothic-style architecture and stained-glass windows.

The effect is wonderful and will make you feel like you've been transported into your own classic Christmas tale. Turn on this video if you need that little extra dose of Christmas spirit in your day.
