SALT LAKE CITY — Three more fun stories from the world of sports in today's From Left Field!

1. 97-year-old vet plays national anthem on harmonica

This is a great story. As you probably know, yesterday was Dec. 7, the 75th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Before the Seton Hall vs. Cal basketball game, this 97-year-old World War II veteran was asked to deliver the national anthem on his harmonica.

And he did a wonderful job.

2. Cavs start bottle flipping on Knicks bench

The Cleveland Cavaliers blew out the New York Knicks 124-96 last night in Madison Square Garden. The starters had nearly the entire fourth quarter off, so Kyrie Irving, LeBron James and company decided to fill the time with a time-honored tradition: flipping a bottle of water and trying to get it to land on it's bottom.

And yes, Kyrie got the shot to go, eventually:

3. Tennis player loses by hitting herself on the serve

I really like Kiki Bertens, but this wasn't one of her best moments. Bertens was down match point, and seemed to hesitate before whiffing on the serve, letting the ball hit her in the head.

I've been here before, though not quite as embarrassingly. When I played high school tennis, I was also down match point and let a ball hit me while I was standing beyond the baseline, qualifying as my opponent's winning point. I was furious. It's a miracle I ever played tennis again, quite frankly.

Anyway, here's hoping Bertens continues her tennis career.
