TOOELE — A former bank teller was sentenced Tuesday to 90 days in the Tooele County Jail for stealing from an elderly client.
Stephanie Huber Bennett, 45, was also ordered to complete three years of probation, which will include community service and therapy, according to court documents. Her sentence will also require restitution, though a dollar amount has not yet been specified.
Bennett is also prohibited from working in "a fiduciary capacity," court documents say.
The Tooele woman was arrested in December for investigation of stealing $43,000 from longtime Zions Bank customer Halycon Robins, 90, by forging financial transactions.
Zions Bank released a statement after Bennett's arrest saying she was no longer employed with the company after Dec. 10, 2015.
Bennett was charged in April with theft and exploitation of a vulnerable adult, both second-degree felonies, and five counts of forgery, a third-degree felony. She pleaded guilty to the theft offense on July 26, and the other charges were dismissed.

Longtime Zions Bank customer Halycon Robins once considered her bank teller as a friend.Robins said last year that she felt "betrayed" by Bennett, who she had relied on frequently to handle her banking transactions.
"It (has) just kept me awake at night," Robins said at the time.
