KAYSVILLE — Back-to-back Class 5A state champions. No. 1 in the USA Today HS Sports national poll.

The Davis girl’s soccer team appeared to have it all before Tuesday afternoon’s match at Hunter.

Now, they have one more thing: a state record.

Olivia Wade and Mikayla Colohan each notched a hat trick in the first half as the Darts routed Hunter, 13-0 for their 37th-straight win — the longest streak in Utah High School Activities Association history.

But Davis isn't ready to celebrate just yet.

"Keep winning. Go back to it," Colohan said. "It's fun; we want to take region and hopefully take state. That's the best feeling you can have, and that's what we are working for."

Her coach Souli Phongsavath agreed.

"After the season, we can reflect back on this streak and this record," Phongsavath said. "But I think we'd rather have a third-straight championship to bring it all together."

Davis (13-0, 9-0 Region 2) replaced Alta’s 14-year-old record of 36-straight victories. The squad known for U.S. national team pool players and two-straight 5A state titles can next take aim at Mountain View’s 40-game unbeaten record set from 2000-02.

The Darts finished with three matchups against Syracuse and Viewmont before a date with rival Layton in the home finale Oct. 6.

The Darts last lost on the final day of the regular season in 2014, a 1-0 defeat at Weber on Oct. 9, 2014. They went on to a 2-1 win over Lone Peak in the 5A state championship match, and made it back-to-back titles with a 1-0 victory over Weber a year ago.

Colohan opened the scoring in the opening minute for Davis (13-0, 9-0 Region 2) when her header from Kylee Morgan’s corner kick caromed off her skull and into the back of the net. Wade followed with her 30th marker of the year, and Colohan added another tally to give Davis a 3-0 lead just 10 minutes into the match.

The Darts led 9-0 at halftime, and even goalkeeper Kendyl Baker got on the scoresheet, converting a penalty kick to give Davis a 12-0 lead late in the match.

Baker shared the shutout with Alexa Maple and Olivia Griffin.
