GREEN RIVER, Emery County — Three people killed on I-70 Wednesday while traveling to a family reunion have been identified as Las Vegas residents.

Ronald D. Frazier, 77 , his wife, Mary E. Frazier, 76, and Beverley J. Swanson, 70, were killed when Ronald Frazier lost control of his Ford F-250 truck and struck a rocky hillside. The crash happened just before 2 p.m. about 24 miles west of Green River.

The cause of the crash was still under investigation Thursday, but troopers were looking at a possible flat tire, said Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce.

Neither Mary Frazier nor Swanson were wearing seat belts, Royce said. The force of the collision caused Swanson to be tossed from the back seat to the front seat, he said. Swanson was related to the Fraziers.

The trio was headed to Colorado for a family reunion, Royce said.
