FAIRVIEW, Sanpete County — A Fairview woman died Wednesday after driving into oncoming traffic, the Utah Highway Patrol reported.
Bobbie Baker, 52, was driving a Prism south on U.S. 89 when she overcorrected and drove into oncoming traffic after drifting off the right shoulder of the road, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. A Cadillac traveling north hit the passenger side of the Prism.
Baker, who was wearing a seat belt, died on scene from the impact, troopers said. The occupants in the Cadillac suffered injuries not considered to be life-threatening, said UHP Sgt. Todd Royce.
"We are looking to impairment as a factor" in the crash, UHP said in a statement.
