SALT LAKE CITY — Nothing says summer like a drive-in movie under the stars.
The warm weather in Utah gives its residents the opportunity to enjoy summer blockbusters at the local drive-ins. If you are hankering for an outdoor movie experience, here are five drive-in movie theaters around the state to check out this summer.
Redwood Drive-In Theatre
Location: 3688 Redwood Road, West Valley
Hours: Open daily. Movies start at 9 p.m.
Price: $9 for adults, $1 for kids
Motor-Vu Drive-In
Location: 5368 S. 1050 West, Ogden
Hours: Open daily starting May 20. Movies being at 8:55 p.m.
Price: Adults and kids 12 and up are $8, children 12 and under are $3.50. Only cash is accepted.
Basin Drive-In Theatre
Location: 680 N. State St., Mt. Pleasant
Hours: Open Monday through Saturday
Price: $6 for adults, $5 for kids
Echo Drive-In
Location: 35 S. 200 East, Roosevelt
Hours: Open Friday and Saturday. Movies start at 9 p.m.
Shooting Star RV Resort
This resort offers drive-in movies and gives the option of viewing them in a 1960s convertible.
Location: 2020 W. Highway 12, Escalante
Hours: Open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Movies begin at sunset.
Price: Rooms at the resort start at $129 per night. (The drive-in movies are only available to guests.)
