SOUTH SALT LAKE — Officials are investigating what caused a semitruck to catch fire Wednesday, according to South Salt Lake Deputy Fire Chief Terry Addison.

The semitruck was filled with pork when, at about 1:15 p.m., the refrigerated unit started on fire in a loading dock at 3539 S. 500 West, Addison said.

No one was injured from the fire, and the semitruck was the only vehicle that sustained damage. Addison thinks about $300,000 in damage was done to the truck and its load.

More information will be posted when it becomes available.
