GILBERT, Arizona — When you’re a mom, a few phrases are always on the tip of your tongue. You may find that “Not right now,” “I’ll tell you when you’re older” and “This is why we can’t have nice things” constantly escape your lips.
More than any of those, however, the word “no” is in constant use when raising children. One mommy made an excellent parody video of Meghan Trainor’s hit song “No” by making it about moms.
Equipped with a wind machine, her four-year-old son Porter and a slew of everyday scenarios worth saying “no” to, 26-year-old former BYU student Tara Brough made this hilarious parody of the pop song.
Brough chases Porter across her house as he tries to pour his own cereal, cut his sister’s hair and jump in the pool unattended. The answer is always the same: No! Well, that is until daddy gets home.
Brough runs a vlog on YouTube called Broughington where she shares “recipes, craft tutorials, family moments, mommy moments, traveling experiences, hard time, good times, and everything in between,” according to the video description, and her goal was to post a video every week for the entire year.
Brough describes herself as a “wife, mother, singer, crafter, videographer, Mormon” and blogger on her blog’s Facebook page.
