LOVELAND, Colo. — Marc Cantin gave Utah a 3-1 lead at the first intermission, and the Grizzlies cruised to a 7-2 victory over the host Colorado Eagles to finish off a 4-2 series victory in the first round of the ECHL playoffs Tuesday.
Charlie Sarault scored a goal early in the third period to give the Grizzlies a 5-2 lead, and the visiting team earned two empty-net goals to finish off the win.
Utah advanced to face the winner of the series between Fort Wayne and Cincinnati in the second round of the playoffs.
