DELLE, Tooele County — A rollover involving drugs and alcohol killed a man and seriously injured a woman early Wednesday morning in rural Tooele County, the Utah Highway Patrol said.

A 48-year-old woman was driving east on I-80 near Delle when her vehicle rolled around 6:50 a.m., according to police. A 61-year-old man who was in the front passenger seat died in the crash. He was not wearing a seat belt, the Utah Highway Patrol said.

The woman was flown to University Hospital with serious head and body injuries. She was reportedly wearing a seat belt.

Investigators believe alcohol and drugs were contributing factors in the crash, the UHP reported.

Neither of the crash victims' names were immediately released while police notified family members. Police were still investigating the cause of the crash Wednesday.

Westbound I-80 was closed for about 30 minutes while a medical helicopter landed near the the crash.
