PRICE — A 54-year-old man was killed Saturday when he crashed his motorcycle on U.S. Highway 6 about 2 miles east of Price, police said.

Jaime Sanchez was allegedly speeding when he rode off the left side of the highway into the brush for nearly 1,000 feet before being thrown from the motorcycle, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

Sanchez was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

UHP officers were investigating whether alcohol or drug use may have been a factor in the crash.
