OGDEN — Multiple people were transported to the hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Ogden early Sunday morning, police say.

At approximately 2:30 a.m. Sunday, a blue 2014 Chevrolet Cruz was traveling eastbound on 27th Street in Ogden when it ran a stop sign and collided with a tan 2002 Ford Explorer traveling northbound through the intersection on Harrison Boulevard, according to Ogden police. The Explorer rolled over, coming to rest several feet from the intersection.

The Cruz then continued north on Harrison Boulevard and collided with an unoccupied parked vehicle, according to police.

The driver of the Explorer, a 22-year-old female, was transported to a local area hospital in critical condition, police say. The only passenger in the Explorer, a 19-year-old female, was also transported to the hospital in serious but stable condition.

A 17-year-old male who was driving the Chevrolet Cruz was listed in serious but stable condition, and the only passenger, an 18-year-old female, also sustained serious injuries. Both were transported to the hospital, police said.

Investigators believe alcohol was a factor, and the investigation is ongoing. The names of the parties involved have not been released at this time, and no arrests or citations have been made.
