EDINBURG, Texas (AP) — Donte Williams scored 23 points, Zach Nelson chipped in 20 and Utah Valley rolled to a 72-54 victory over Texas-Pan American on Thursday night.

Williams was 7 of 8 from the floor, including 4 of 4 from long range. Nelson finished on 9-of-15 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds. Brenden Evans dished out four assists and added eight points for Utah Valley (7-10, 2-1 Western Athletic Conference), which shot 27 of 48 for 56.3 percent from the field.

A 19-2 run, capped by back-to-back 3-pointers from Williams and Nelson, gave Utah Valley a 35-13 lead with 6:05 left in the first half, and the Wolverines led by double digits the rest of the way.

Janari Joesaar was 8 of 13 from the floor, including 4 of 5 from deep, and 9 of 10 from the line to finish with 29 points for Texas-Pan American (7-13, 1-3).
