NOT ALASKA — If you showed up to the Iditarod with four pit bulls and a skateboard, you would be laughed off the starting line.

But it turns out, this method may be a viable sled dog adaptation for a speedy, and terrifying, way to get around a less snowy and more populated neighborhood. (Don’t try this at home, kids.)

Here’s what you need to get started: four well-trained, trustworthy pit bulls, a beat up skateboard, well-honed reflexes, a love of adrenaline and no sense of fear.

After acquiring everything on the list, simply attach each dog to a leash, mount your skateboard and shout “mush!”

Zing! You’re off to explore a paved wonderland!

Obstacles and difficulties may include sidewalk cracks and speed bumps instead of changing snow and ice conditions, passing cars instead of moose and bears, and extreme danger of road rash instead of frostbite.

Bonuses include getting a wicked tan, not having to carry supplies around with you and quick access to medical attention when you totally biff it.

This video shows a demonstration of a successful thrilling yet terrifying urban sled dog run.
