SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Royals FC might not have to be without Christen Press in its critical match with Reign FC after all.

Press was listed as doubtful for Wednesday's match with a left leg injury. That was some bad news for a club that is 6-2-2 in games with Press and just 3-2-5 in games without the National Team star.

The good news, though: The match has been postponed.

Call it a gift to URFC's playoff chances.

Due to an unplayable surface, Wednesday's match in Tacoma, Wash. will be played at a later date.

"Due to significant rainfall over the last several days, the field has been determined unfit for play," Reign FC said in a statement. "The safety of the players is of the utmost priority, and as such, both clubs and the NWSL came to a collective agreement to reschedule tonight’s match."

The match has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 8 p.m.

URFC and Reign FC are tied with 31 points with four matches left in the season.
