RIDGEWOOD, N.J. (AP) — Hillary Rodham Clinton will be in New Jersey next week on the same day that Gov. Chris Christie heads to Iowa.
Clinton is scheduled to be at Bookends in Ridgewood to sign copies of her book "Hard Choices" on Thursday. That's the same day Christie will be traveling across the early voting state of Iowa for a series of fundraisers and meet and greets.
If Christie decides to jump in the presidential race, the Republican could end up facing Clinton. She is widely considered the front-runner for the Democratic nomination.
A recent Quinnipiac University poll found Clinton has a substantial early lead in a hypothetical matchup between the two. The poll found she would win 47 percent of the vote, versus 38 for Christie, if the election were held today.
