PROVO — Stickers and posters promoting a white supremacist group were found on Brigham Young University's campus Wednesday, according to a series of tweets from the university.
We are aware of reports that stickers and posters promoting a white supremacist group were recently found on campus. According to the Anti-Defamation League, this organization is known to use tactics like this on college campuses across the country.

The propaganda is not authorized and will be removed if placed on campus, in accordance with university policy, the school tweeted. University Police are "looking into the issue."
"BYU stands firmly against racism in any form and is committed to promoting a culture of safety, kindness, respect and love," the tweets read.
"We stand with our sponsoring institution, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which has stated: 'White supremacist attitudes are morally wrong and sinful, and we condemn them. Church members who promote or pursue a ‘white culture’ or white supremacy agenda are not in harmony with the teachings of the church.'"
Though the university did not name the group advertised in the posters, the organization is "known to use tactics like this on college campuses across the country," BYU tweeted, citing the Anti-Defamation League, a group that fights anti-semitism and hate.
Earlier this year, a white nationalist group attempted to recruit at the University of Utah by posting flyers and unfurling banners around campus. The posters were also removed.
BYU urges anyone who witnesses or experiences an incident on campus associated with white supremacy to make a report to the Dean of Students Office at 801-422-2731 or, if safety is at risk, to contact the University Police at 801-422-2222.
