Segment 1
Outgoing mayor Peter Corroon has presented his final budget and the picture is dire for county libraries, senior centers and law enforcement. So he's asking the council to support a 17.5 percent property tax increase. The tax increase would cost the average homeowner $64 a year and would raise $30.9 million for the county. Richard Piatt discussed the issue with Mayor Corroon and Royce Van Tassell with the Utah Tax Payer's Association.

Eating disorders are rising at an alarming rate — 20 percent every five years. They can affect women and men at any age. We took an in-depth look at Anorexia through the perspective of a woman who has battled eating disorders for most of her life. We also spoke to her father and a counselor about the challenges families face when fighting an eating disorder.

At the top of the show we discussed a proposed property tax increase for Salt Lake County. Doug Wright offers his opinion on the issue.
