This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

The folks at the Brute Squad are celebrating an important milestone … one year in business! — And the sky's the limit for this breakout company.

You may not know their name, but if you've been to the Megaplex recently, you've seen their work. The Brute Squad is the creators of the Spring Mobile, Café Rio and Henry Walker Homes ads you see before your movie starts. But these aren't just any ads. Founder Greg Johnson says since they're before a movie, these are designed to be cinema-quality ads … or ads played in a movie theater.

Founders Greg Johnson and Neil Larson were acquaintances who started doing projects together, connected with Spring Mobile, then brainstormed something fun to do...They're a great complement to each other — Greg is a cinematographer, and Neil is more of a director...

Over 900 films and TV movies have been filmed in the Beehive State since it was first discovered in the 1920s. That's why film is such an important economic engine here and a great location for The Brute Squad.

The Brute Squad specializes in cinematic ads and being the "digital muscle for hire." This includes special effects and advertising, where they create the message, based on the target audience, and then produce high-end commercials. They're also quickly becoming an in-house video company for hire, the go-to guys who understand your business and create compelling content. They can put polish on an ad so it looks sleek and professional, no matter the budget.

The Brute Squad has six employees, plus a list of subcontractors and actors they can hire for big projects... They find talent through Facebook and various agencies, plus their actors enjoy working for them so they spread the word ...

One of their secrets to success at the Brute Squad is creating a look and feel that clients really want to go for... Their portfolio is online at thebrutesquad.com, including a video that highlights them and what they do so clients and potential clients get a feel for who they are and what they offer.

For Zions Bank, I'm Chris Redgrave, speaking on business.
