KAYSVILLE — No. 2 Davis defeated Layton 36-24 to move to a perfect 8-0 on the season.
Davis quarterback Colton Chronister threw for a pair of touchdowns with 275 passing yards. He also had two rushing touchdowns.
Layton's Davis Marriott piled up 224 rushing yards and three touchdowns on a herculean 36 carries.
Davis will close out the regular season and region play next Friday at home against Weber, while Layton is at Northridge.
