DRAPER — Police have identified the woman found dead in a construction site in Draper as the woman who went missing Sunday afternoon in a nearby neighborhood.
The woman is 57-year-old Lisa Rosa, of Draper. Rosa's body was discovered by neighbors who were out searching the Suncrest area for her Sunday night.
Police have not confirmed how Rosa died; however, they do not suspect foul play. Currently, they are looking at the possibility that the cold weather played a factor.
Rosa was first reported missing Sunday around 3:30 by family members. Around 9 p.m., Draper police issued an Endangered Missing Persons Advisory, noting that Rosa left her home in her pajamas without a coat, shoes or cellphone. It also indicated she possibly had an elbow injury due to a fall.
Neighbors went looking for Rosa and around 9:30 p.m, in a neighborhood several blocks from where she lives, they discovered her body at the construction site.
Police confirmed that she was deceased, but waited until Monday morning to remove her body to preserve any evidence.
"At this point, there is no indication of foul play, the scene is still under investigation and the Draper City Police Department is awaiting the report from the medical examiner's office," said public information officer Maridene Hancock.
At this point, police think Rosa walked to the construction site on her own. But it's unclear what path she took or when she exactly died. Police could not provide any details about why she left her home in the first place.
Neighbors say she had a great heart and soul and believes she just got disoriented and lost.
