Need a signature drink for that garden party, graduation party or bridal shower? Chef Jackie Dodart from Harmons is in the kitchen with three ideas for Fizzes, Spritzes and a French Lemonade flavored with fresh herbs—rosemary, thyme and basil—that will be the hit at your party.

Blueberry Rosemary Fizz
Makes 6

Ingredients:
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup orange zest
1 cup blueberries fresh or frozen
3 sprigs fresh rosemary
Ice
Seltzer

Directions:
In a saucepan simmer the water, orange zest, blueberries, sugar, rosemary sprigs. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat, muddle the ingredients and strain. This is your simple syrup for your drink.
Put ice in your glasses and divide into 6 decorative glasses; top with seltzer. Garnish with rosemary sprigs and blueberries.

Summerthyme Swig Spritzer
Makes 6

Ingredients:
Sparkling water, 2 tall bottles
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
6 sprigs fresh thyme
1/2 teaspoon grated ginger or 2 slices if you only want the hint of ginger
1/4 cup pureed strawberries fresh or frozen
Additional sprigs for garnish

Directions:
In a small saucepan simmer water, sugar, thyme and ginger. Simmer until the sugar is melted. Let steep 10 minutes for a more intense flavor. Add pureed strawberries and mix. Divide among 6 decorative glasses. Garnish with thyme sprig and a fresh strawberry.

French Lemonade
Makes 12

Ingredients:
1 quart homemade lemonade or your favorite brand. [Mine is Newman’s Own]
1 bunch mint
1 bunch dill
1 bunch basil
Edible orchids or lemon slices for garnish

Directions:
Pour lemonade into large container. Bruise all the herbs and put in the container with the lemonade. Let sit overnight or several hours in the refrigerator. Strain and serve in decorative glasses. Garnish with edible culinary orchids, or lemons slices.
