MILLCREEK — Unified police have released surveillance video that shows a gunman robbing a 7-Eleven store in Millcreek early Wednesday morning.

Lt. John Barker of the Unified Police Department said the clerk was emptying the garbage outside the store at 2931 E. 4430 South around 12:30 a.m.

Video shows a man dressed in dark clothing entered the store ahead of the returning clerk and then confronted him once he was behind the counter. The robber, who was wearing a dark hoodie and ski mask, showed the clerk a gun and demanded money. The clerk complied and the robber fled eastbound on foot. No one was injured.

"We were able to track him with a K9 dog about a half a block to three-quarters of a block, where it appeared he got into a vehicle and left the area," Lt. Barker said.

The robber is believed to be about 6 feet tall, in his early 20s.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Unified Police Department at 801-743-7000.
