SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Jazz lost to the red-hot Denver Nuggets Wednesday night, pushing them just out of the playoffs behind the Los Angeles Lakers. With six games left in the season, the chance of getting a coveted playoff spot is diminishing for the Jazz.

However, it may not be the Jazz's fault completely. At least that's what one NBA fan is saying. On April 1, YouTube user Nathaniel Bennett posted a video "documenting" the pro-Lakers conspiracy the NBA is promoting. The video highlights several plays where the Lakers received favorable calls, which ultimately helped the Lakers to win some games.

So there you have it conspiracy theorists, the NBA is rigged and there's nothing you can do about it. However, if you're a Lakers fan living in the state (don't worry we've seen you at the games) you're probably happy to once again be back in the playoff race. For Jazz fans, it's not the team's fault; the NBA just doesn't want them to make the playoffs.

After all, Kobe Bryant guaranteed the Lakers would make the playoffs, which is essentially permission for the NBA to grant that ... right? Just hand me a tinfoil hat and I'll be fine — just warn me when the zombies make an appearance.

Bob Costas raps some Ludacris

Bob Costas, the iconic sports commentator who seems to have his hands in every sport, is everywhere in sports. From the Olympics to Sunday Night Football, Costas is there and he'll give viewers a thorough analysis of the sport he is covering.

However, some recent comments about gun control during a Sunday Night Football broadcast had many criticizing the commentator and the platform he chose to talk about the issue. On Tuesday, Costas gave viewers another surprise, but in a different way.

Taking part in the MLB Network broadcast, Brian Kenny and Harold Reynolds asked Costas who his favorite rapper was. Costas said Ludacris comes the closest because the rapper used his name in one of his songs. Costas then went on to quote the lyrics, leaving Kenny and Reynolds in amazement.

Shaq jersey #Fail

The Lakers have had a rough season. For the longest time it looked as though the Lakers would miss the playoffs and not even manage a successful season. Their head coach was fired, Dwight Howard was rumored to be causing problems and Kobe was getting mad. Some things have turned around for the Lakers, but they're not out of the clear yet.

This week, the Lakers retired Shaquille O'Neal's jersey, raising it up in the rafters. However, there was a mistake with the retirement of the jersey — it was backward. The organization put Shaq's name on the front of the jersey instead of the back. It's a clear mistake that can't really be hidden. But it seems like the appropriate thing to happen to the organization this year. Maybe the Clippers can change that.

The jersey will eventually be fixed.
