Timberwolves, Cornish game Dons for 4A title game berth

Winning pitcher Tyler Cornish went 2 for 4 with a triple and three RBIs to lift the Region 7 champion Timberwolves into Friday’s state title game with a 4-1 win over Spanish Fork.

With one cut, Hunter Cornia belted a two-out RBI single in the top of the seventh to give the Colts their first lead of the game. Cottonwood held on for a 2-1 win over Bingham at Brent Brown Ballpark.
