SALT LAKE CITY — Paul Millsap is no longer a member of the Utah Jazz.

One day after Al Jefferson announced he would sign a free agent contract with the Charlotte Bobcats, Millsap will sign a deal with the Atlanta Hawks — ending his seven-year career in a Jazz uniform.

Millsap will sign a two-year deal with Atlanta for approximately $19 million, according to cbssports.com. That's about $1.5 million more than what he was making with the Jazz.

Last season, Millsap averaged 15 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists and was one of the more popular players in a Jazz uniform with his tough, hard nose attitude on the floor.

Atlanta was hoping to be able to land Dwight Howard, but when Howard announced he was going to Houston, the Hawks quickly called Millsap.

Jazz fans, many of you have been begging for more playing time for Enes Kanter and Derrick Favors. As of right now, they are the main men in the middle looking to scoop up the 33 points and 16 rebounds that Millsap and Jefferson put up every game this past season.

The Jazz also lost another player to the Hawks late Friday night: DeMarre Carroll signed a two-year deal with Atlanta; the deal is worth $5 million, according to Yahoo! Sports. Last season in a jazz uniform, Carroll averaged a career high 6 points per game and started a career high 12 games.
