Raleigh leads Florida State past NC State 5-2 at ACC tourney

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Cal Raleigh homered and drove in three runs, Drew Parrish struck out 14 and Florida State beat North Carolina State 5-2 on Friday night to advance to the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament semifinals.

Rhett Aplin added an RBI single to help the sixth-seeded Seminoles (41-17) finish pool play 2-0 and earn a berth against second-seeded Clemson (45-13) in a semifinal Saturday.

Raleigh hit a run-scoring double in the first and a two-run homer in the third, both off ACC pitcher of the year Brian Brown.

Brown allowed four runs in 2 1/3 innings.

Parrish allowed five hits and two earned runs while earning the complete game victory for Florida State.

Josh McLain had an RBI single, and Jack Conley scored on center fielder J.C. Flowers' fielding error on Evan Edwards' double for the third-seeded Wolfpack (40-16), who finished 0-2 in the tournament.
