FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) — Khalil Ahmad scored 29 points and Kyle Allman scored 27 and Cal State Fullerton broke it open in the second half and went on to beat Cal State Northridge 88-70 on Saturday night.

Jackson Rowe flirted with a triple-double and finished with 16 points, nine rebounds and eight assists for the Titans (15-9, 8-4 Big West).

CSU Fullerton led 41-37 at halftime and quickly pushed the margin to 49-39 within the first 2½ minutes of the second half. Ahmad made a pair of 3s and Allman two free throws out of the break. Lyrik Schreiner's jumper reduced CSU Northridge's deficit to 60-56 with 12:06 left but the Matadors (6-21, 3-10) never got closer.

Carl Brown led CSU Northridge with 16 points and made all six shot attempts and all four free throws. Shreiner scored 15 and Tavrion Dawson scored 13.
