Wyoming falls to Coastal Carolina 91-81

CONWAY, S.C. (AP) — Wyoming has fallen behind after the first game in the three-game College Basketball Invitational championship series.

The Cowboys lost to Coastal Carolina 91-81 Monday night in Conway, South Carolina.

The two teams will play their next game in Arena-Auditorium on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Laramie.

If the Cowboys win the second game, it will force a third game on Friday at 5 p.m. in a contest also in the Arena-Auditorium.

On Monday night, Jason McManamen led Wyoming with 19 points. McManamen hit four three-pointers, adding to his school record. He now has 207 threes in his career.

Junior forward Alan Herndon finished the night with 14 points, and sophomore guard Justin James 12.

Demario Beck, Jaylen Shaw and Michel Bamba all had 15 points to lead Coastal Carolina.
