MURRAY, Ky. (AP) — Jesse Hosket threw for 257 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winning 20-yard strike to Adrian Davis with 1:05 left, and Southeast Missouri State escaped with a 17-16 win over Murray State on Saturday night.

The final touchdown capped a 4-play, 58-yard drive for the Redhawks (1-3, 1-0 Ohio Valley), who snapped a three game losing skid to open the season. Hosket completed all four of his throws on the final drive, including a 31-yard pass to Tyler McLemore which set up the scoring play to Davis.

Murray State (0-4, 0-1) drove the ball 54 yards on its final drive, but Connor Mitchell missed a 38-yard field goal attempt for the win as time expired.

Tremane McCullough finished with 94 yards receiving and a touchdown for the Redhawks.

KD Humphries threw for 341 yards to lead the Racers. Jesse Blackburn added 112 yards receiving.
